About the Subway Diet


Jared FogleAfter Jared Fogle, "The Subway Guy", lost considerable weight by eating Subway sandwiches twice daily, the term "Subway Diet" became popular. Men's Health magazine wrote about this diet in an article called "Stupid Diets ... that Work!" Fogle simply switched to healthier choices at Subway with smaller portions free of fattening condiments such as mayonnaise and combined it with a lot of walking.

While there is no "official" Subway eating plan, the most common version of what Jared ate consists of:
  • BREAKFAST: small bowl of cereal with skim milk, Black coffee with sweetener
  • LUNCH: 6 inch turkey Subway sandwich, baked chips, Diet Pepsi
  • DINNER: 12 inch veggie Subway sandwich with extra veggies and no cheese, oil or mayo, Water
  • SNACKS: apple, orange, water
SubwaySubway's menu has 8 subs under 6 grams of fat. Mix and match these subs with the sides and drinks listed below. Menu options listed as their Subway Fresh Fit items are:
