Like everyone else I too struggled with my weight. I can remember back in high school being very active in track and cheerleading until my junior year in high school approached. I remember gaining a lot of weight over the summer and coming back to cheerleading being the biggest girl on the squad. This was so hard. I believe that year my weight was as high as 198.
Then shortly after graduating from high school in 1994 I went off to college to study fashion design. Again, I was so sad because I was the biggest girl in the design department, and to make thing worse we had to design clothing for ourselves and present them in a fashion show. At that time I was tired with being the biggest girl in the fashion shows every year that decided to try very many diets to lose weight and I would lose 10-15 pounds, but then to gain it all back again. Shortly after graduating from college in the fall of 1998 I managed to drop 10 pounds before I married the love of my life in the summer of 1999 and on this day I got my weight down to 188.
After getting married and comfortable I ended up gaining more weight over the years. I didn't realize how fast the weight piled on until I would go shopping and noticed that I had to start wearing some plus sized clothing and I was mortified, but surely became comfortable with that soon too. The realization of how much weight was too much was 2 years after giving birth to our lovely child in November 2003. After giving birth to our little boy I joined a local playgroup so that my son could interact with other babies and again...I was the biggest mom in the playgroup. So, at that point I was up to here with my weight because as he started to get older and more active I could not keep up with him or with the other moms. At that time I was at my wits end and again I began to dabble around on many diets, and pills, but no success. I was so irritated because one night I decided to buy a scale and I got on it and it read....225 pounds!! I was so shocked because I almost weighed as much as my husband and he is 6 feet 4 inches and all muscles. |
I thought to myself Oh my GOD!! I can't be like this anymore and I won't be. I will be 30 years old in 2006 and I want to feel healthy and look good from this point forward. So, late one night in September 2005 I came across a Nutrisystem commercial and it show all of these amazing weight loss stories and I was so convinced that I had to join. Then the next day I approached my husband and explain the Nutrisystem program to him and how it worked and asked if I could join. He was so supportive that I joined right away. I have to say the program is very easy to follow and with exercise the weight just started to come off. I was so excited and my husband was too. I am so happy to have joined Nutrisystem because now I have learned how to control my portions, make exercise apart of my lifestyle and ultimately lose a lot of weight. Now I can say, I am no longer this biggest mom in the group, I have the energy to keep up with my little boy during the day, I can shop at any store that I want too, and anything that I design I can wear it and feel confident. I also can't believe that I went from a size 18/20 to a size 10 now. Yeah!!! Thank you so much Nutrisystem your system have changed my life in many ways. The support that you have given through the support boards, other amazing profiles on your website, and most of all the encouragement from my weight loss consultant. Thank you Nutrisystem and to any who has doubts this diet is awesome!!!
