Facelift Diet
While the 3-Day Facelift Diet from Dr. Perricone is not specifically for weight loss, that has been an added bonus for some using this plan. Dr. Perricone believes that the protein, antioxidants and anti-inflammatory ingredients of this diet help eliminate puffiness and increase contours and firmness. Salmon is eaten twice a day and specifically wild Alaskan salmon is recommended. The 3-Day Facelift Diet is actually a modified version of the plan outlined in Dr. Perricone's first book, "The Wrinkle Cure." The main focus is eating sensibly for three days while consuming healthy, anti-inflammatory foods, such as brightly colored fruits and vegetables. These foods have antioxidant properties and abilities to fight free radicals, which cause wrinkles.
3-Day Facelift Diet Menu
Upon Rising
Breakfast
- 3 egg omelet and/or 4-6 ounces grilled salmon
- 1/2 cup cooked oatmeal (not instant)
- 2 inch wedge cantaloupe or 1/3 cup fresh berries
- 8-12 ounces spring water (minimum, more if desired)
Lunch
- 4-6 ounces grilled salmon
- 2 cups green salad (romaine lettuce or other dark leafy greens with extra virgin olive oil and fresh squeezed lemon)
- 1 kiwi fruit or cantaloupe and berries
- 8-12 ounces spring water (minimum, more if desired)
Snack
- 1 apple
- 2 ounce slice turkey breast or 6 ounces plain yogurt
- small handful of hazelnuts, walnuts or almonds
Dinner
- 4-6 ounces grilled salmon
- 2 cups green salad
- 1/2 cup steamed vegetables (asparagus, broccoli or spinach)
- cantaloupe and berries
- 8-12 ounces spring water (minimum, more if desired)
Before Bedtime Snack
- 2 ounce slice chicken or turkey breast or 6 ounces plain yogurt
- 1 pear or apple
- small handful or hazelnuts, walnuts or almonds
