Aliette's NutriSystem Success Story

Hi my name is Aliette, I have been heavy my entire life. By the age of 8 I was 100 pounds and my weight continued to climb from there.

Heart disease and diabetes runs in my family and I was set on a collision course with these debilitating illnesses. Last year I decided that it was time to do something for myself. I had to lose the weight and regain my health.

NutriSystem was my starting place. I began February 13th, 2005. The weight began to come off and then I felt good enough to begin to add exercise. When I was able to go through an entire workout circuit, I finally felt like I had accomplished something very important to my health.

Family members had told me that I would never be the thin person that I had always longed to be. Now they are telling me that I showed them that I had the determination to reach my goals.

There had been so many failures in my life...and I was determined to win this battle once and for all! I was tired of fading into the background..tired of the mean comments and ugly looks from strangers. I often thought, 'They don't even know me..how can they dare judge me!'

Now that I have overcome this obstacle my dream is to in some way inspire just one person to regain their health and self esteem that I had lost so many years ago.

Thank you NutriSystem for allowing me to realize my dream and giving me all the tools to reach my goal and be able to maintain my dream. I'm 51 yrs. old...and just starting to live out my dreams!!
